Start 50, safety camera subscription question.

I'm thinking of upgrading my aging Tom Tom with a new Tom Tom Start 50 for occasional use.

This comes with apparently 6 months free safety camera subscription then says £29.99 per year.

Does this mean if I don't pay this the camera warning will disappear altogether off my sat nav or will the existing camera warnings stay on. But without the locations of any brand new cameras?

My old sat nav came with Camera locations and most (apart from motorways) are in the same place.
