Start 25

Hello, I have a Tomtom Start 25 and I was wondering if it is at its end of life? (the serial number begins with BQ)
I am updating the maps now as we speak so it is probably not the end of life yet but I was wondering if map updates will stop soon.
I have free map updates and I have heard online that the start 25 is now at the end of life but tomtom is continuing to send out map updates anyway if you have free map updates? Could someone please tell me if this is true? Thank you.

That is correct. IF a device comes with lifetime maps, they will continue to be able to get them; however, I'm not sure the Start 25 ever came with lifetime maps.

I think there were two versions of the start 25 and mine has lifetime maps so I should be OK even if it has reached its end of life?

Your BQ is an 8GB unit, so you should be OK with updates for now.
