Standard Mount

How good are the standard windshield mounts for the GO 720? I assume they are the same that the ONE uses. I am familiar with the GO 710 and GO 510 mounts and found the the GO 501's mount to be the most solid. I still haven't opened the packaging on my 720 that I purchased 5 days ago.

Its a passive mount and is a lot better than the 510 mount that I had used previously but it still falls down if left on the windshield all the time when the temps outside are close to 100 degrees. But all in all a lot better than before but not as good as garmin.

Plus i don't like the USB plug in on the tomtom itself. Seems like it will wear off and will give problems later on.

Go ahead and open the unit. If you keep your expectations low, its a great product. I think the hype was so great on the 720 that it is a let down for some of us.

The mount is great.
Remember to pace the mount on the windshield before placing the unit.
