Believe it is part of the bug in TT Home causing a loss of certain settings whenever you connect to Home. For example, when I use the emulator (Operate my Go), my computer voice is always lost and I must reset.

Thanks for pointing that out. I now know why every time after using "Operate My GO" my tomtom loses it's computer voice. When I turn on the TomTom I get a red screen that says "WARNING: The voice you selected is not available"

CRAP! I just tested it again and the same thing happens. It also raises the volume to 100% every time as well! My speaker sounded like it was going to explode at 100%!!!!! Not only that, it scared the CRAP out of me as I did not expect it, and I had no idea the speaker is SO MUCH LOUDER than the ONE XL speaker!

Ohh and dhn, Susan isn't as bad as I thought after playing around with her for a little. Still gonna try them all out though and see which one suits me best.

I see the same thing with my 720. Use operate my go and next time I turn on the GPS I've lost the voice. Its rather irritating.

    Tt Xls One

My TT one xls is doing the same thing ,when I plug into home on my pc I loose my compute voice that I previously selected ,also I can not set my computer voice to sound street names under speech selections when connected to home on my pc,I have to unplug my TT one xls from the pc and home and go back to preferences change voice and then the computer voice I choose will have the box able to select street names.
The box to select street names is there when connected to home but you can not check it with a computer voice selected, when connected to home?? There is definetly a bug in the Home software, hope someone can get TT to fix this issue?

I also noticed one OTHER issue that is quite annoying when using the emulator in Home and then disconnecting the TomTom.

In addition to the Voice change issue, I noticed that the MEDIA ICON inside my Custom Shortcut link on the main navigation window of the 920 gets removed and I need to add it back into this shortcut menu.

I have called TomTom support about both issues mentioned here and I have a case number that is tracking this.....# 081104006460

I have already contacted them along with hundreds of others with the same issue. TomTom says that they are aware of the issue and will be fixed with a software update.

This bug (loss of computer voice) has been in the firmware releases for at least a year I know of....the cure is relatively simple, but the software developers don't seem to have it as a priority.

Most, but not all, of the times I am lucky with checking Change voice > [Cancel].

    sageuvagony,

May I ask a favour please.
Could you go back and edit your post, making the picture smaller.
As it is with my monitor, I have to shift the screen to read each and every line.
    Thank you,
    Arno

    PS
I see that the width resets with each new block of 10 messages.
I'll leave this post as is as a future guide to others.
