Slight bash - Tom Tom takes me miles from destination

I find a repair to my XL would be £85 - so obviously would prefer buy a new one!
But maybe others have this problem and that it can be solved.

Mine had slight bash in car after taking me half way, after bash it went mad. I re programmed it to correct destination 3 times - but it took me mile and mile in opposite direction.

Is there anyway to get it to work normally by some 'menu' adjustments or something else?

It lights up and offer to take me as normal so its not big damage - bash was only slight against part of car.

Try a drum reset on the unit by holding the power button about 20 seconds till you hear the drum sounds unless your model has a dedicated reset hole.

No chance it's an issue of E/W (+/-) longitude, is there? You do live rather near the point where it begins to matter.
