Wife was using tomtom one new edition and clicked card out. After reset, soft and hard still does same. tried to attach to computer it says to remove and allow to start normally. Do this and it does nothing.

Have tried turning on after clicking card in and out as discussed in other forums. No good

Put card in card reader and it says it has no files.

All back up was lost in a previous computer crash. What can I do?

Try doing a pin reset with the card in the unit. Then remove the card and try doing another pin reset.

run a chkdsk /f /r on the card (in an SD reader if necessary) to repair any bad files. There's a chance with the age of the One New Edition that the card has just worn out.

If the card's completely dead, you can use winrar to extract the contents of this file to another sd card (2gb or less) and it should work in the Tomtom. However, you'll have to buy new maps, or call Tomtom support and see if you get a rep compassionate enough to re-activate a map for you.
