saving a route? new user

I am able to change the recommended route on my TOMTOM ONE XL to a better route but cannot save it!! I would like save so I don't have to remember the adjustments next time. Can this be done? Thanks in advance!!

Some models allow for itinerary planning where the specif roads are selected by the user. Not sure whether your model has that feature.
