Rider 2 will not connect to headset

I am a new tom tom owner as of today . My rider 2 will not reconize the factory headset !! I reset to the factory settings numerous times & talk to tom tom tech sevice 2 times ,the batteries are charged & the unit is brand new . I there something I am missing or do I just have a faulty unit ?

Are you making sure the blue/red lights are flashing on the headset?

Has anyone purchased the auto mount accessory for their TTR2? Wondering if the dock is the same as on the TTR2 motorcycle bike mount?

It mounts the same way as the bike mount. However, voice directions are via a self contained speaker on the car kit.

I don't think the car kit is as "secure" of a mount (It doesn't hold the device as well as the bike mount. I've got one but rarely use the Rider in my car (have a One for that)
