Question about finding satellites?

When turning on my TT1 how long should it take to find the satellites signal. Sometimes it taking up to 2 to 3 min. and maybe longer. Is this normal?

My next question is when downloading the quick fix every week is there a message that pops up on your comp. or does it update automatically?

It will take 2-3 min the longer you wait to do the QuickFix. The whole idea behind the quickfix is to tell your TomTom where to look for the satellites this week, instead of it just searching on it's own.

Quickfix will pop-up when HOME starts and your TomTom is connected. you have the option to select OK to download the file or cancel. If you aren't seeing this, you aren't getting quickfixes.

Check your preferences in HOME to make sure it's set to auto-update

Quickfixes are usually updated every sunday

Also, it takes much longer if you are driving when you turn it on. If you can turn it on before you start to move your car, it seems to find the sats much faster.
