Preloaded voices that aren't downloaded...can I get rid of them?

thank you; it's much appreciated.
Now that I've done the steps I outlined..I have a new problem...

I cannot get a satallite...it just keeps saying "searching for signal"...and nothing else...

any ideas?

Is the unit in an open area in a stationary position?

Yes..it was in the open...I drove all of the way home with it searching for a signal...
so this morning...I:
1.) cleaned all of the files off of the TT.
2.) Restored all of the files via Explorer
3.) Took it outside and it didn't have signal.
4.) Did a hard reset twice.

Nice strong signal now....working perfectly, able to work from my pc...

The only remaining problem is the original one....8 greyed out voice slots with no voices.....

yeah...I'm so glad to have it working correctly again...I'm not touching it!

(Except for the voice thing that is....)

The 325SE is a very old model in terms of Tomtom software. App 8.0xx.

If I remember right, app 8.0xx always shows you all the voices in your language, and you have to scroll/ignore most of them to get to the voices that you've pre-downloaded.

I don't think there's a way around that. It no longer does that in app 8.3 or later, not sure about app 8.2. But since the 325SE is a "discount" device based on 2008 software/hardware, I doubt it will get an app upgrade.

It works so I think I'm just not going to stress on it...
