ONE XL
Hello,

I have a One XL that was working fine until I tried to update its software.
I downloaded the Windows 7 Tomtom Home software on my computer and started the update.
The update failed and now the device is stuck on the "Please wait" screen.

I tried pressing the power button for 15 seconds or more but it does nothing, the screen is still stuck on "wait".
I unplugged and plugged it back into my computer but the computer does not recognize the device (because it is locked up).
I've tried to press the reset button and it's still frozen.

Please help!
Thank you.

If your model does have a reset button, make sure you are making proper contact. Insert a straightened paperclip and listen for a little 'click'.

@dhn
The ONE XL does indeed have the pin reset in the bottom.. though I guess I've never been in a quiet enough spot to hear the thing click when actuated.

If you are not too rough and are expecting it, you can easily feel the trigger point (on the 930, at least).

Agreed. Definitely easier for me to do it by touch.
