So happy to find you all! I have been overwhelmed trying to get my 720 functional, and then found this forum.
Apparently I messed up when I first connected to the puter and after babelfish and icons from the manual, finally got out of Estonian into US English
I have a bunch of back ups all over my puter now, just in case, but here is my first question:
How on earth can you install a 1.9 gig map on a TomTom that only holds that? I tried removing everything and only installing the new map, but even without the app it is too large by 28mb. I ran out and got an SD card but that, too, at 2gig runs out of space before the map installs. I reinstalled the map that came with the TT, V 705.1481 so at least I can use the TT.
Is there a trick to this? whenever I connect the Tomtom to the computer it wants to update me to the large map. Totally clueless here!
