New user of TT ONE XL-S

I just received my holiday present in advance from my wife... a TT ONE XL-S. She made the selection based on the text-to-speech feature. Although I haven't done a trip to test it, I like the features. However, I was wondering if someone from the forum can answer the following questions:

1. Can you install 3rd party softwares to this model? If so, where can I obtain a list of softwares what are their functions?

2. Can you run 3rd party software from the SD card?

3. Can you load car icons to the XL-S? If so, can you store them in the SD card?

4. Is there a software to create POI's?

Hello and welcome.

1) there are some 3rd applications you can use. See our forum for 3rd party apps.

2) yes, all information that is included in your tomtom must be include in the SD card in order to work. You just can't install the 3rd party app on the SD Card.

3) This only works for the 520, 720, 920 units.

4) use google and search for a program called MyPoi. I also recommend using Poiedit to edit custom POIs.
