Is 1605TM good for simple non tech user?

Looking for a unit to give as a gift to someone who won't want to modify/upgrade. Will just want to turn it on and use it aka "point and shoot." AMZ has it for $146.

Secondly, do any US models come with the magnetic attachment? That sounds easy and effective.

The 2535 model has the magnetic attachment.

I found a picture and realize it's what I have on my 2405. I was thinking (dreaming) the magnet was replacing the suction device.

The 'magnet' holds the device to the mount on the 2XXX series. The mount stays as attached with the suction cup.

As much as I like the 1605, having to remove the suction cup (it's integrated with the arm into the unit) all the time is a pain.
