New TomTom V4 (30 Series)

Hi Guys,

I just bought a new TTv4 (30series) yesterday, now I am aware of the map guarantee but have a few questions on this.

1. If i run the update to bring the system upto date this should install map 8.45 and the latest navcore is that correct?

2. Would this give the system IQ routes, oe even ALG?

3. Does the 30 day period start from first time the system is switched on, or from first time it is connected to TomTom HOME?

There is some confusion over the number of various TT One versions. See this thread:

From what I can tell, your model does not have IQ/ALG capabilities, regardless of map.

Basically, the 30 day count should start from the time you first use the unit. That said, there is even confusion over that. Suffice to say the latest map (845) came out at the end of February so there won't be a newer one till mid May or later. No point in waiting to grab 845, if that is what you are wondering.
