Why do I have 1561 sub folders on my computer in TomTom Home\download\complete\safetycamera

Because Home gets you a new one from the server when you plug your unit in every day! I'll tell you another place you really want to look as well .. download\complete\ephemeris
That is where all of your QuickGPSFix files land, and if you've never cleaned it out, you'll have about a million of them in there as well. Delete all of the folders inside "ephemeris" - the most recent has already been loaded into your unit.
Thanks for that I think I will just move them to another HD for the moment

I regularly clear out the fuel prices and ephemeris downloads.
And they are the only things I DON'T bother to archive anywhere. Straight in the bin with them!
