Mapshare for Australia

I updated my TT V3 (USA-Canada Model) to App. 7.903 and Map 'Australia' v815.2059 and was curious to know if Mapshare should be working with this combination or not as TT said that Mapshare was coming to Australian maps.

When I go to access Map Corrections via the PC it says:



and if I click on Continue it just takes me back to the Main Menu.

Can anybody help me out here?

You need application 8.010 to use Australian Mapshare.

Your US 3rd edition should be compatible with that application version.

When using TT Home with my GPS connected I am not offered application v8.010, so would this indicate that my GPS is in fact a v2 and not a v3?

Based on the 4N00.004, you have the tomtom new edition / limited edition / V4 (called different things in different countries).

The one V3 does not have an SD slot, so you don't have a V3.

I got the above pic from Google and it says it is V3 v V2 model and that is what I going by.

The unit I have was purchased for me by a mate who resides in the USA, it is a refurbished unit and has TT One US-Canada on the front of the carton and the carton is lime green in color.

TT need a lesson in model ID's I think, it is amazing how many threads are on the net with owners trying to correctly ID the model of their TT One.

Use Explorer to look at the contents of your unit. A text file called ttgo.bif resides in the root of the unit. Look at the contents. What does the second row say as to what your unit is??

It says it's a V4.

So should it have or be possible to update it to app v8.010?
