Map update TomTom60

    I know this is a repeated topic but I've tried everything to update my maps on my TomTom Go 60 I've removed and replaced the voices on my device with no problem updating ,removing or downloading. But when it comes to the maps it just seems to take an absolute age for anything to happen I've created plenty space on the device and installed a 32 GB SD card for extra memory
    The device connects to my Acer laptop with win 10 installed instantly. I've also made sure the USB timeout is switched off. My Drive Connect is reporting I can download the upgraded maps with the memory on the device. I clicked on download it starts giving me an estimate of somewhere around 10 hours to download. Changes screen with the window showing the percentage and a connection to the device but after an hour or two this screen dies and freezes out.. however the little icon on the toolbar shows it is still downloading if you hover the mouse over it. But I have literally left it days to download but nothing happens it just doesn't seem to complete or update the Go60 . I've uninstalled my drive connect on two or three occasions using Revo uninstaller,reinstalled and started to download again but it just doesn't do it. My maps are over 4 years old now and I'm off to Spain touring for a month the end of next week and really need an upgrade. I know there's been lots of posts about downloading maps but I've read them over and over and followed the different suggestions but nothing seems to happen or change. Any suggestions or help very much appreciated

    Hi reply appreciated . Has been virus checked, and formatted on both win 7 and on Go 60 . But new map upgrade ,download isn't getting to that stage, anyway it just *not* getting to the stage of transferring files. It's reporting downloading but doesn't seem to come to complete. For instance Saturday started download, at 10am and it was left running until yesterday morning 48hrs + with Go 60 showing connected. Cleared and restarted again, this morning nothing changed, today 8hrs to date reporting downloading

    dhn wasn't asking whether anything had been 'virus checked' (what, the SD card?), he was asking if perhaps you have an anti-viral program running that is inhibiting the download process. It wouldn't be a first.

    Thanks, ok sorry, Micro SD card San disk ultra 32gb also no anti viral program stopping downloads. I have have installed and removed voices and other programs no problems,I'm thinking maybe it's the size of the download that's causing the problems. I've just changed the default download folder and touch wood it's now saying downloaded 75% with 1.5hrs to go, and up to now My Drive Connect screen has not frozen . Definitely a first so keeping fingers crossed it completes fully .

    After a week trying it finally fully downloaded. All I did this morning was completely remove My Drive Connect using Revo uninstaller. Then reloaded ,and changed the download folder to C: /Downloads /TomTom. And started the update,it downloaded 100%without a problem. It's now updating to Go 60 with 40mins left. What a nightmare.

    Nightmare, now reporting update failed, file corrupted, no map now on device.
