TomTom Model(s)
All of them :)
STEP 1 Make a Backup

- Charge your unit for at least two hours (preferably via the home charger)
- Perform a reset on your device (see: TomTom, portable GPS car navigation systems - Support home - Select your product)
- Make a manual backup as shown on TomTom, portable GPS car navigation systems - Support home - Select your product (Please scroll to the bottom of the page to make a manual back up)

IMPORTANT: We advise you to follow the next steps ONLY if you have made a successful backup of your device as described in Step 1. If you are unable to complete step 1, please reply back to this email and let us know what happens.

STEP 2 Add the POIs

- Once the back up is complete, please open TomTom HOME
- When you are in the main menu Page 1 of TomTom HOME, please select "Add Traffic, Voices, Safety Cameras, etc."
- Now go across to Points of Interest
- Here you will find a large list of POIs that you can add.

To all new Tomtom owners, the preferable method of backing-up your unit is manually, either using Window Explorer or WinRAR.

Hi Piano.

That might be the case at the moment, but asking someone who is new to a device to back it up manually can be dangerous, especially if you dont know when to do this, and how. Not everyone is to the same technical level, and the software Home will do this for you.

There has been a change recently in Europe version of TomTom, so if someone finds that Home deletes a map, and we can see this (TomTom have ways ;)) We will replace the map for the same.
