i think everything tomtom was down earlier...
the webiste (tomtom.com) ttplus services, login to HOME (when you open HOME depending on your setup preferences it logs you into a tomtom server to check for updates) - some people have that auto login disabled, by default it's on though.

everything seems to be up and running now though.
