Help - VIA1505 Finds No Satellites

I have a VIA1505 (App 10.501) that suddenly stopped working. It can't find a single satellite. Outside, clear sky, but never sees even one. Two questions:

1. Could there be some stupid but obvious thing I may have done that has caused it to go into this "blind" mode? Any suggestions?

2. I want to reset it to factory settings to see if that helps, but I don't want to lose all of my saved locations. Is there some way to back them up before I reset it?

Thanks very much for any help.

You can connect to the computer and your MyTTSA desktop icon should show an additional menu choice 'Add Community Content'. Clicking that should allow favourites to be saved to the computer.

Before you perform the Factory Reset, have you tried holding down the power button unit the unit performs that version of reset? Takes about 15~10 seconds, and you'll know it when you see the TomTom logo appear and hear the 'drums'. That will not disturb your favorites and settings, either.

You've not accidentally put it into "flight mode" (in the settings menu) have you?

That SHOULD only turn off transmissions, but I know on some software versions it was turning off the GPS receiver too.
