Hi, i have a TomTom xxl and after the last update (the one that insists on backing up) i dont get any gpsfix update and since then it takes a while to get a fix, anyone no a fix?

Hi Dhn, thanks for the reply, on the box and the unit it just says Tomtom xxl, it also says: iq routes edition, europe 42 countries. I bought it here in the Uk, it has a number on the unit: n14644.

Try deleting the ephem folder on the unit and then go to ephemeris folder on your computer. It's found here:

C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\My Documents\TomTom\HOME\Download\complete\ephemeris\

and delete any sub folders found there.

Then connect to Home and a new gpsfix file should be offered.
