Since I just acquired a TT 140S, I have been reading about GPS anti-theft.

The unit came with the Easy-Port mount, and I have read on the Web that you should use a Micro-Fiber cloth to wipe the window rings when you remove the unit to store.

The previous owner of the GPS also enclosed a 3M Adhesive mount to permanently attach a place to mount the Easy-Port.

I have also read about Dash Mounts with Bean Bags, the Nav-Pak, etc. and am now more confused than before.

What would you recommend as best?

Suggestions are appreciated.

I think it depends where you live whether you need to worry about removing the left-over rings on the windscreen.

I have a permanent mount on the dashboard for my Go940 and no-one has broken my windows yet (I live in London so not exactly a crime free area!)
You also see far more phone mounts left in view permanently now.

I heard that opportunist sat-nav theft JUST on the evidence of windscreen marks is on the wane now because everyone has a satnav already and they just aren't so desirable to thieves.
