Go 930 problems

HI

My GPS' system info is below

I have a three problems

In HOME, I can use 'Back Up and Restore" and "operate my GO" - I get a message saying "You can not use this feature because it is not supported by your device"

The third problem is that from HOME/Show Contents/voices - the 4 English voices say "this item cannot be used on the current version of the the TomTom application on your "and their 'More info's say "this item does not work on your device" even though they are working

Does any one have any ideas?

GO 930 Problems - Updated

I meant to say "In HOME, I can't use"

I got an upgrade to HOME just after I wrote the message - I am using v2.6.1.549 now - situation did not change

The computer voices are working - but HOME shows the 4 English computer voices as not being suitable

Well, using the emulator (Operate My Go), does not allow for the use of computer voices. Is that the issue?

I can not use 'operate my GO" and 'Backup/Restore' using the emulator - that is the problem. The computer voice issue is really an aside - the emulator tells me that they are not suitable for my device

Check in Control Panel-->Add/Remove Preograms whether you have dot net framework installed. you probably do, but just in case, the link to get it is here.

Try a pin reset on your unit, dock it again, and see if Home works now.

Will this wipe the device, hard reset, or just soft rest it?

A pin reset (known as a soft reset) will likely wipe out your time on the unit, nothing else. A hard reset (restore to factory defaults) wipes out all your settings you made in the unit.

Thanks. I own a watch, so I'll be okay until the device updates from the birds.

If you go to preferences --> set time --> (page 8) and, after selecting the view option you want to see, there is a button called 'sync'. Click that for the current minutes. At worse, you may have to manually set the hours value.

Solution was quite simple really - I unloaded the maps and re installed them
