Go 720 stuck

My tomtom Go 720 has ' stuck ' on the start up picture,
have read that I must save application files ect to pc and reinstall firmware but the problem is my pc does not recognise the device & I have tried using alternative usb ports but the device simply is not seen by the pc.

I have used the soft reset option also I cannot switch the device of unless I reset or allow the battery to expire.

Try a pin reset in the unit for about 5 seconds.

Then mount the unit and see if the problem is resolved.
