Go 720 & SD Card

I need to get a larger SD card for my tomtom.

What is the maximum size SD card that the Go 720 will accept?

With the latest app (9.041) you can use up to a 32 gig sdhc card (though that is overkill). Getting something like an 8 gb SDHC card with the fastest speed you can afford (Class 6+) from a reliable company will work.

Don't go looking for something on ebay; those cards are often crappy.

Thanks. Also do you know if the 720 will output stereo or mono?

That I'm not sure of. I think just mono but perhaps someone who knows will repond in this thread.

DHN - was your advice to get a class 6+ card based on speed of read/write, or is this spec that the TT720 requires?

(I'm thinking of getting a class 4 16Gb Sandisk card)

The faster the card is, the faster the read/writes, naturally.

That said, I use a 4gb class 4 in my 720 and store my map on it. I do not find it to be a problem.

The connector on the bottom is a stereo 3.5mm mini-jack with the same mono signal on both legs for the voice navigation, but it outputs stereo for the mp3 player
