Favourite places in app are gone and I can't use support on tomtom website

Temporary loss of saved places and favourites​

Some customers recently lost access to their saved places (My Places), favourites, and recent destinations in TomTom navigation apps and devices.
This was caused by a technical issue related to account login and data synchronisation. As a result, saved locations may have temporarily disappeared.

Data restoration​

We are restoring data. Once restoration is complete:

• Saved places and favourites created before 1 May should reappear automatically
• No action is required

Data that may not be recoverable​

Some data may not be recoverable:

• Routes, favourites, or saved places created or changed between 1 May and 9 May 2026 may not be restored

Restoration timeline​

Data restoration is currently in progress.
This page will be updated as soon as the process is complete.

Still nothing here in the UK on either my iPhone or iPad. I had added Home to these but now that has been wiped & I'm prompted to Add Home. The logic presumably is that the stored data on TomTom servers overwrites data on the phone but it shouldn't have yet again removed the Home I had added.

You can set home or work to those from recent destinations if those came back

The routes I made om my laptop are now all synchronized again with my TomTom; in other words they are back!

Mine are still missing.

What I did was, I switched the synchronize button next to my routes on plan.tomtom off and on again; That did the trick.

Unfortunately that's not working for me

Their website has a support announcement saying that they are in process of restoring everything from a May 1 backup.

My favorites finally showed up again on their own, 20 minutes ago.

Same for me. Last destination, my places and home and work are gone.
Any suggestion how to fix it.?

This issue seems solved. My places and last destinations just came up again - at least on my Android device. Nice, ain't it?

Another one here. Years of best planned and save routes have disappeared. Restored some saved routes one at a time from my PC. Everything looked fine. Closed Tomtom, reopened it and all restored routes gone again. Huge loss and couldn't have happened at a worse time as my wife and I are going to different events in opposite directions this weekend and both REALLY needed the working satnavs!! Now we're stuffed.

Have you tried again? They have come back a few minutes ago. Nice, ain't it?

I use the Mobile app and it's also deleted 2 years of places saved. Logged in to the online planner to find nothing in there too

They all have been restored a few minutes ago, you should be able to see them again on your device. Nice, ain't it?
