Display Current Coordinates

I have a GO Supreme. I can see no way to display current coordinates. Is this possible?

Great question. Yes, though you wouldn't expect to look there.

Do a search.
In the upper right, there's a button that allows you to define the search area ... select Whole map, Near Me, Town or city etc. The last entry there will be Latitude Longitude.

Touch that.
There will be examples shown there to show you how to enter coordinates for searching, using the most common three formats. The examples actually contain your CURRENT coordinates!

Thanks but I have no search option. That is where I am stuck. Am I not looking in the right place for Search?

It's the same way you search for any POI or address using the "Search / Drive to" button.

When you are on your search screen, look up in the upper right where you see on this particular pic the "Near destination". When you press up there on your search screen, you'll get a menu that looks like this.

What you cannot see is the last entry in the list, so hit the scroll down button (2) and you will see the next line (3) that allows you to enter latitude/longitude information.

You will find some of the details on page 86 of the manual for your device that describes various search methods. Again, when you get to where you could enter latitude/longitude data, the examples that the device shows for the three coordinate formats are all filled with your current coordinates. I'll try to get a screen shot of that screen when I get home later today.

I don't have that device so I cannot give you exact instructions but I believe you must be in 'step by step' mode which is selected in Settings. (Page 86)
Go to Menu | Settings | System and select Step by step search
Go to Menu | Drive To |Latitude Longitude

The second, third and fourth lines below the input cursor will show your current location in Decimal, DMS and GPS styles.

For the newest models like the Expert, it is also very simple. Please follow these directions!

Select "Search" in the main menu.


In the upper right corner, the default says "Whole map". Notice please that it has a down arrow, indicating other options are available!

Touch the "Whole map", and select "Latitude Longitude" instead of "Whole map"

When you do that, you get this display on the Expert. The three examples contain your current coordinates:

Да, я точно раскрываю совет модератора. На мой взгляд вообще нет вариантов Широта/Долгота. До недавнего времени этот пункт был там и я им пользовался. Я заметил, что в меню «Поиск» нет опций поиска мест по координатам. Спасибо за понимание.

Working on it, but please be patient, пожалуйста. It may take some time to sort this out. It is an unusual situation that we have not seen reported before, and it is a weekend, so the people I wish to ask are not working now.

Since you say that this seems to have become a problem immediately after loading a map of Россия, have you experimented by deleting that map to see if the function of your device changes back to when it provided you with latitude/longitude options?

Remove the Russian map from TomTom Go Expert 7.Perform a soft reset.Plug in the Russian map.It works.
