Go 2505
I charged the battery for 24 hours. The off/on switch is green but the Go 2505 goes blank the instant the power cord is disconnected.
Plug the power cable back in, hold the off/on button down for 15 seconds or so and it restarts. The off/on button
is amber for 2-3 seconds then turns green. It operates normally as long as the power cord is plugged in. I put in a new battery and it still
does the same thing? I installed the latest map update and another update. No change?

Is there anything else that could be done? Thanks, None33

Assuming the new battery is any good and is properly installed, that leaves only

. the power source being used for charging is absent or inadequate, which seems not to be the case since your device operates normally on external power. Your device, when turned off, uses less current to charge than it does to operate.
. the charge control circuitry internal to the device has failed.

Have you measured the unloaded (disconnected) and loaded (while charging) voltage of the new battery after operating the device for an hour or so?

Thanks for the help.
I assume there is an open on the cicuit board that preventts the battery from providing power? After installing the new battery and connecting the power cable to my computer the switch was amber for a few hours then turned green. I assume that the battery was charged but the Go2505 still went out the second the power was removed.
