Hi all,
I switched to a Surface Pro 5 and installed MyDrive Connect, all so far so good... well, it was already small on my Surface Pro 4, but now the font and window is just barely readable. The device has a 12.3” Display with resolution: 2736 x 1824 (267 PPI) screen.

You can see in the screenshot the MyDrive window and fonts are really small.
I know I can increase the zoom factor in the screen settings, but it would be ridiculous to increase to 400% just for MyDrive :).

I know there has been issues reported with high res screens and there were fixes to it, but I can't find it anymore.
Does anyone have a clue or an idea how to fix the issue?

Thanks in advance for any hint, cheers
Jean

Welcome to TomTomForums.
If you can enter data in the MyDrive Connect screen it should be possible to tap the "Full Screen Square" on that screen.

I'm on a computer with a 3840x1200 screen, almost the same pixel count as yours, just in a wider format, and no issues here.

Lest there be any doubt, I believe Arno is recommending that you try using this "Full Screen Square". Also, just grabbing a corner and stretching it manually expands the entire image here, including text.

Hi both,
thanks for the welcome and fast feedback :).
Well, yes the window gets bigger... but the font size itself remains the same, as also seen on your screenshots...

Any other idea?
Cheers,
Jean

It seems that @canderson took YOUR screen shot and just added the pointer.
[ ]means Active Window can be enlarged.jpg

Single square means the window can be enlarged.

[[ ]] means Active Window is full size.jpg

Overlapping squares means the window is full size.

I feel your issue is a Surface Pro question. I suggest you ask at

Hi Arno,

thanks again... so far I was clear about increasing the size of a window, working in IT since 30 years :)! But agreed, I overlooked canderson just added the pointer to my screen...

I'll give it a go in the Surface forum, I thought these are app specifics, but possibly it is a common problem with older programms running on high-res screens...

Cheers, Jean

Ok, just for sake of completeness:

The issue is definitively impacting many apps apps, not only on surface but also other high-res screns.
Some solution proposals like changing the DPI scaling of the app compatibility shortcut or using a specific manifest file did not help neither...
TomTom support has escalated the issue, I'll post any significant result here, just in case other users are struggling :).
