can i use my computer to charge my XL 350TM. with the ucb cable?7

Absolutely. Understand the charge will take longer than via the car charger as that provides (depending upon charger) 1A to 1.2A while a usb will provide half of that.

I'd like to charge my XL350 from AC. I have a number of AC-DC chargers but I'm unable to find the specs for the XL-350 battery in order to 'jimmy' the right one. Can you help please & thnx?
Failing that can you direct me to an appropriate charger?

The specs on my TomTom AC charger are these:

Input: 100-240V~/0.2A
47-63mhz

Output: +5V 1.0A

Works with all my TT units.

All USB devices operate at 5.0 volts DC -- no exceptions.
