Carminat TomTom LIVE
Hello

I have Carminat TomTom LIVE in my Renault. I only have maps of France. I want to buy the whole Europe map and I have an original SD Card with only 2 GB of space (France uses around 1 GB so I'm sure Europe wont fit on it).

What are my options? Can I just purchase a new SD card with bigger storage and update it with TomTom HOME app or I need to get it from the dealer?

At version 8.302, it became possible to use cards larger than 2GB.
So it depends upon the 'vintage' of the firmware currently installed on your Carminat device, and we don't know what that is.
Depending upon your specific Carminat device, the latest version may be 9.884 for the Carminat Live, or 8.843 (just released this last January to handle the 'week rollover' issue) for non-Live devices. Either firmware version will permit use of > 2GB cards.
We often recommend 16GB Class 10 cards for this purpose.

Let us know what firmware version you have now.
And yes, you are correct that there are no longer any maps available that would handle even Western Europe alone in 2GB.
