Car kit for iphone 4

Hi

I phoned TomTom Friday 13th August about a car kit for IPHONE 4. I asked if the car kit for IPHONE 3GS would work with the IPHONE 4 and they said no. I tried it anyway, it fits nicely but it won't charge from it so no boost on GPS from that.

They said they are working on bringing a car kit out for IPHONE 4.

IPOD cradle does not fit the 3GS or IPHONE 4.
3GS cradle fits the IPHONE 4 but it won' t power up.

These are not cheap either, 100 pounds in uk, you think they would bring out one that fits all but i guess they would not have people like me then buying a new cradle every time they bring a new iphone out.

tomtom car kit + iphone 4 fix

G'day all

I found a website that has a very simple fix to make your tomtom car kit work with iphone 4, this includes bluetooth and charging.

I was sceptical but tryed it anyways as i was extremely upset that my tom tom carkit was less than a year old thought i couldnt use it with my new iphone 4. But it worked instantly

TomTom have their car kit advertised now as IPHONE 4 but it really works on 3GS and IPHONE which they don't mention, i phoned them up to confirm.

For those of you like me that bought a car kit for 3GS and now have a IPHONE 4 can get the free adapter from TomTom at this site TomTom, portable GPS car navigation systems
