GO 620
I have just recently opened a subscription on the GO Navigation App.
Prior to that I only used my GO 620 that has had hundreds of routes added, used and deleted from the My Routes database.
When I synced my My Drive account with the GO Navigation App, all the routes currently on my GO 620 and in My Drive ended up on the GO Navigation app on my iPhone and iPad.
OK, that's great, but a strange thing is there is one route that I used 2 months ago and then deleted from the GO 620 and My Drive, that has also shown up on the Navigation App, an app that I installed 2 months after deleting the route.
And now, I can't delete that route from the GO phone app, and it starts with "A", so is right up the top of the list and is annoying me. Any ideas?

Try deleting it on the MyDrive web planner again. If this doesn't work leave it a few days and try again, sometimes the Tomtom servers have a bit of a glitch.

Thanks Willy and raesewell,
The route was planned on MyDrive on a computer, was driven using my GO 620, then deleted from all devices 2 months ago.
Trouble is that it doesn't exist any longer on MyDrive on any device, is not on the GO 620, and is not on the MyDrive iOS app.
So both your suggestions are not possible to try because the route doesn't exist on MyDrive anywhere.
Then 2 months after the route was deleted, I downloaded the GO Navigation app and took out a subscription.
All the hundreds of routes I have used and deleted over the years are not on the Navigation app, except one.
And the only place it exists is on the My Routes list on the GO Navigation app on both my iPhone and iPad.
And it can't be deleted on that app because it doesn't show up as a selectable route on "Edit List".
It just sits there on the My Routes list on the GO Navigation app annoying me.

Normally, if you see this route on the app in your saved routes, you should be able to delete it.
Another solution is to delete the app on your smartphone and reinstall it.

OK -

Will assume that all devices, phone apps, and MyDrive web page are all using the same login/password:

1) deleted from 'all devices'
2) not found on the GO 620
3) not found on the MyDrive iOS app

4) Remains on iOS GO nav app?

Any chance it still remains in the MyDrive web page (My items - routes) where it was originally created?

Willy and canderson, thanks for your input.

Willy, as you suggested, I deleted the GO Navigation app from the phone and reinstalled it, but the problem still persists.

Canderson, yes, you are correct. MyDrive on all devices - the GO 620, MacBook laptop, iMac, iPad and iPhone are all on the same account and all use the same login/password, as does the GO Navigation app on both the iOS devices (phone and pad).

The persistent route has been deleted from the MyDrive account and does not exist in the My Routes list in MyDrive on any device, whether it be the GO 620, or any of the OSX or iOS devices. This includes the iMac desktop computer on which the route was originally created.

The troublesome route only shows up in the GO Navigation app on both the iOS devices (iPhone and iPad). And it cannot be deleted using the "Edit List" button in that app because only routes created in the GO Navigation app can be deleted within that app. Other routes created in MyDrive, and synced to the GO app, have to be deleted in MyDrive.

And another thing, even though the problem route exists in the My Routes list in the GO app on my phone, it cannot be opened. I am confronted by the advice "No Route Possible". That's probably because there is no navigation data, just the name of a ghost route.

This is a real puzzle

Try creating a route with exactly the same name on MyDrive web, then deleting it there.

Canderson, I have tried that.
When the additional route, with exactly the same name, is created on the MyDrive web application, I get one route of that name on the MyDrive route list, and two routes of the same name on the TomTom GO Navigation iOS app. Then when I delete it, I am back to where I started, that is no route of that name on MyDrive, but the same old problem route still on the TomTom GO app.

Am also having this problem, did you get anywhere with it? As you say highly annoying and ‘Edit List’ button greyed out so cannot delete in Go app on iPhone. MyDrive routes empty. Only difference is I can still select it to drive the route. Thanks

Yes, still having the problem.

I have deleted and reinstalled the GO Navigation app. I sort of thought that wasn't going to be the solution because the problem exists on both my iOS devices (phone and pad).

Another strange thing happened. Last week I bought another TomTom GO 620 (a used one) because my first 620 was starting to intermittently going to a black screen and shutting down, sort of like it has a flat battery, when it doesn't. Anyway, when I fired up the second device and logged it into my MyDrive account, the phantom route was there on the My Routes list. It was deletable (unlike on the app), so I thought I'd delete it and that might solve the problem. I didn't. The route did delete off the GO 620, but it is still on the iOS devices.

If the route came with the new phone, the route is still saved on the Tomtom servers.
Maybe delete your cookies?
Or create a new Tomtom account if not too many routes or favorites to add.

Willy, the problem I am having is that the troublesome route was planned with MyDrive on an iMac computer, saved to my devices, the route was driven using a TomTom GO 620, then deleted from MyDrive, which deleted it from the TomTom device, never to be seen again, I thought.

That was just one of about 20 routes that I had pre-planned for a road trip and deleted after the trip. Then two months later I downloaded the TomTom GO app and opened an account, and that one route was there in My Routes while all the other routes that I had previously deleted at the same time were not there. I can't understand why this one route is behaving differently to all the others that were planned, driven and deleted at the same time.

I don't want to open a new TomTom account as all my devices and 40 routes I have planned for a trip to USA and Scotland soon are on my current account.

Hi, I'm having the same problem with deleting routes in the Tom Tom Go app on my Iphone, even though I've deleted the routes on Mydrive. The routes no longer exist on the Mydrive app on the Iphone either. I've deleted and reinstalled the app a couple of times, as well as signing in and out of the app.

As an exercise, I installed the Tom Tom Go app on my old Android phone (I had to pay, which is annoying) and low and behold, all the routes were there. However, the 'Delete' button was not greyed out so I was able to delete all the old, unwanted routes from the Android app. I checked the Iphone app soon afterwards and the unwanted routes had been removed, but the 'Edit' button was still greyed out.

I'll contact Tom Tom support at some stage, but the problem does seem tio be with the Iphone and route syncing.

Hello,

I am the original poster of this thread.

Yes, after 5 months, the route that can't be deleted is still there on the TomTom GO app, but exists nowhere else.

I have just this week completed a 5 week driving trip in USA and Scotland that involved 70 pre-planned routes. These routes were planned using my iMac desktop and synced with all devices. having now been driven, they have been deleted from my MyDrive account using my laptop, so a different computer than the one that created them, and they have vanished off all my devices, including on the TomTom GO app.

But annoyingly, the original route that cannot be deleted is still there and cannot be deleted 7 months after being deleted off all other devices.

If I look at the same routes next to each other on iOS and Android, routes with a dotted arrow (from MyDrive) cannot be deleted on iOS but they can on Android. This is probably not related to the issue originally reported here where routes deleted in MyDrive continue to show in the app.

Hi,
I have exactly the same issue. The route appears on my Tomtom App list, but not on My drive (web and app iOS). The route is still on the Tomtom server but not listed in Mydrive... so impossible to delete... That a bug of Mydrive.
I use My drive with web on PC and Mac, and with App on iOS and I have no possibility to erase this "phantom route" !!!

Hi
On the application Can you try to log out of your Tomtom account then log in again with the same credentials of your Tomtom account.
