Trying to do a back up before updating. Starts process then gives me the message 'an error occurred while reading the file G:\system'. Get same message if I try to update. On version 7.161 Tomtom one with internal memory only. Thanks in anticipation. Now showing 'this file does not exist G:\ephem\ee_meta.txt' but I can see this file in the tomtom when I try to open it it says is corrupt.

Are you using HOME to back up? I would just do the copy and paste from the TT to your hard drive.

You can delete the ephem directory. When you connect to HOME it will download the QuickFix again automatically.

Yes, avoid 'Home' for backups! Use 'Windows Explorer' (My Computer).
