Any success with splash file on TT1 XL

I have seen where several people have tried to change the splash file on the XL with no success. Has anyone been able to change the opening picture on the TT1 XL? If so can you attach the file so i can check the properties? Thanks to all here for your help!

Check any of the pics posted in the 4" splash screen thread. They all work.

This is what I did...saved the original file (splashw.bmp) to splashhw1.bmp so that I still have the original pic. Then re-name the new pic to splashw.bmp and the setting are W 480 pixels
H 272 pixels
299 dpi

Bit depth 24

then save your file.

Thanks for pointing me to that. I loaded a picture of the dog in the snow, after having it resized by the link shown.

I just joined this forum. It appears there is a lot of good advice here.
