Any input on new Start55 TM vs XXL540TM

I'm happy with my XXL540TM (and its price.) A friend wants to buy her first GPS. No special needs or uses, just occasional trips. Before I recommend the XXL540TM I notice a new series Start55. Amazon reviews are ok but is it worth the additional $32?
Searching here I found only one thread and it brought up that the Start's use TomTom Home. Any other comments on the Start55?

I'm not sure but wonder whether that model has a reduced menu wither fewer user choices than your 540 has.
