Advice on changing units

Due to visibility problems with my GO 730 when on my motorcycle I am considering switching to the Rider 2nd Edition. I also use the unit extensively in my work vehicle. Can anyone give me some Pros and Cons on making this switch? Would this be a cost effective move?

I'll let a Rider user comment on what your experience might be, but FWIW the Rider line is either
A) Being phased out
B) About to get a new model in the line.

Right now it's unclear which.
