Can you open an existing poi file and add new sits to it> If so how?b I went to the site that was mentioned on the forum and it does give me the local walmarts etc but I would end up with two files wouldn't I?

Like I said in the topic POI's By State POI's By State

If you have a list of the GPS data of what you want to build, you can simply create or edit a file in poiedit.
Once you have that done you have like a wallmart.ov2 file which can then be copied into your map directory.
All you need now is 22 by 22 pixel logo, so get little creative with that in a good paint & photo program like photoshop.

Google Earth can be used in combination with Google-TomTom, although I wonder if it's really accurate.
Google-TomTom can be downloaded from http://www.janboersma.nl/gett/index.php

To edit POI's you can use POIEdit: http://www.poiedit.com/index.htm

I understand that some questions may sound elementary but the only way to learn is to ask. I found an answer that even I could understand on another site. Open the poi2go site and let it create the file for the local stores. Download that file and open it. Copy the contents. Open the original walmart file and then paste the new data. Close and update to Tomtom. Simple enough for me to complete.
