Just prior to posting here I raised a Support question, attaching that picture.
"The socket of my May 2008 GO 930 window mount (virtually no use for the first five months of this year) shows cracks towards the 4 corners and the material above the clamping claws is breaking away by embrittlement.
This lack of full clamping pressure makes the head tilt down and becomes unviewable.
This is a clear case of inferior material (typically dirt inclusions from re-ground plastic feed stock) used during the injection moulding process.
Please advise what TomTom intends to do to rectify this matter."
Prior to typing, one of the suggestions was to look at the EasyPort and to rate the
video.
I gave it a 0% rating as it displays a back of a device that is not compatible with my 930.
Even though it says it is compatible with GO models, when clicking the
link at "For more information, including compatibility, please visit: " it shows to be only for For ONE 140, ONE 140*S, XL 340, XL 340*S
If I limit the accessories page in the drop down to the 930 model, the EasyPort mount is not shown at all..
I hope you are right, Mike, and it is just the symptomatic sloppiness (like forcing me in Canada to purchase a map in EUROs) of the TT marketing or web management.
Thanks,
Arno
