910 Error message

I'm getting this error message when I try to download the QuickGPSFix ... can I fix it or don't I need it?

Also how can I check to see when the maps were uploaded last? I bought a used refurb ...

Looks like a corrupt download of the file.

Use Explorer and delete anything in the ephem folder on your unit. Also go here:
C:\Documents and Settings\yourname\My Documents\TomTom\HOME\Downloads\complete\ephemeris

and delete anything in there. Try the update again.

As far as maps are concerned.......

Are you saying you got an updated map yesterday? If so, use Home to navigate to Items on my computer. Look for a Map item. Click on 'more info' to ensure it's the correct map.

If it isn't there, did you install a new map yesterday?

Have you made a complete Explorer, not home, backup of your unit's contents? If not, do so now.

Did you download the file again and then get the error?

Yes -- but it now gave me a link to another file to download which I'm doing now ...v2_7_2_1825-win.exe

Your latest error message showed a different mydocuments location on your computer.

Close HOME, delete everything in the following location on your computer, then reopen HOME.

C:\Users\Sandra\Documents\TomTom\HOME\Download\complete\ephemeris
