If this has been posted before I apologize in advance for my question.

I just purchased a TomTom 730 and added an SD Card to it.
My question is this.
Once the internal memory is used up on my tomtom (example putting in custom POI's and favorites) (& the huge updates) does the unit automatically start using the SD card? I can not find any settings for this.

Thanks
JW

No, it does not do so automatically. But, you can put a map on the card, or mp3's in a folder called mp3 (all lower case), or photos in a folder called photos (again, lower case) and keep the operating system in internal memory. The unit will see and read the data in the folders as if the data were still in internal.

So, for example, you can have a mp3 folder in BOTH memory spaces.

But you have to move the stuff to the card; the unit won't do it.
