1 backup for 2 devices

Hi there,

I just got 2 tomtom one xl-s. I played around a little bit with the 1st one and was really satisfied with it. I made a backup from tomtom home and I was just wondering if its possible to just simply plug in my 2nd device and do a restore using my 1st device back up?

No.

Maps are locked to a specific device so the Restore won't work on the second device.

BUT...................

Do yourself a BIG favour. Make a backup of the first unit using Explorer, not Home. Ensure hidden folders/files are showing.

Once that is done, make another EXPLORER backup (to a different folder) for Device 2. Name the folder so you know which backup belongs to which device.

Don't use Home for backups or restores. Not reliable.
