xxl550TM routes and waypoints

I switched my xxl550 from Easy Menu to genci88?s menu. It is more than I need but I like the itinerary capability. I have a question about the TomTom Home ?Route Planner.? How do you insert waypoints into the Route Planner route? I only see from and to locations with no method of entering waypoints. I do know how to insert waypoints in the itinerary in the unit. Do I use the route planner for a route, download it to my unit, and then insert waypoints? Seems awkward.

Route Planner doesn't allow for the transfer of itineraries but you can try:
