Wrong Current Location

carminat tomtom for renault
New to the forum, Wrong Current Location

We have an integrated Carminat system in a Renault Kangoo (van). Since mid December it has been showing an incorrect current location. We are in SW Devon but the system shows us in Wales. I have updated the sd card, done a quickfix but it still does not work. I have done "the delete the ephem file" on the sd card and computer and then re-installed it with no luck. I re-set the unit to original factory setting re-installed the original card and NOTHING!

I finally replaced the sd card with one from another Renault van (which i tested and works fine in its original system) and the problem persists.

I have yet to install the Kangoo sd card in the other van for fear it will mess up the system.

Tomtom rep says to contact dealer.. :(

Is there a way to reset the car device?

I also have a Kangoo Van and after 7 years happy motoring mine has developed the same problem you describe.

I've done everything tomtom have suggested with no luck. I've booked into the dealer but just wondering if you ever got your issue resolved.

I spoke to support today. We went through mostly whats already been discussed on previous posts. They suggested a possible hard ware issue and refereed me back to the dealer. As it's a Dash Install I cannot find a reset button that you get with the stand alone systems. I found the post as realised it's the same issue I'm having. I know it's a long shot but just wondered if they ever had it fixed.
