TomTom Model(s)
One IQ
I have a TomTom One IQ routes that i love and have used for several years. it was initially set up to work with a Windows based PC but last year i changed to Mac.

I am running an iMac with 16GB of Ram, OS X 10.8.2 and a 2.8GHz Intel core i7
the TomTom Home is version 2.9.4.1939 and is installed correctly on the Mac.

When i connect the GPS device, the TomTom HOME crashes.

do i need to do any re configuration of the device to make the switch from Windows to Mac?? are there any known compatibility issues with One IQ ROutes/ Mac OS X 10.8.2 and Home 2.9.4.1939

can i reset the device to factory defaults and start "as new" with the Mac??
I have a tomtom account and the Home app registers to that account without issues.

Does anybody have a solution... i would like to update my maps and the device

Thanks

Hopefully, someone with Mac experience will check into this thread and provide some guidance. Check back later.

I been using a combination of windows and mac with my TomTom and I have no problem at all. The only thing I can think of is to redownload the tomtom home, because (this happen to me on other application) when I download it from app store, it crashed, but when i download it from the source website, it works. So maybe there is something wrong with the downloads you got.

I had read reports on the Tomtom Forum about problems with 10.8, which is why I've stuck with 10.7 despite being entitled to a free 10.8 upgrade. None of which helps you. I can only suggest a call to TTCS to see what they think the current situation is.

Try setting the language in TTHome to American English. I've experienced some crashes when it was set to UK English.

But I haven't had any crashes with the current version of TTH and OS X 10.8
