can somebody explain to me the difference between a xxl540s and a xxl540t from what i've read the T stands for lifetime traffic but on my 540s with the rds cable i receive traffic
you still need a rds cable on the 540t

no i bought the cable from the tomtom site my unit is the 540s

Wasn't asking where you bought it but, rather, which one it was.

In other words... the "T" bit on the model number just means that the Traffic receiver cable is included in the box when you buy the XXL.
