I wonder if any one might have had a similar problem my voice although set to high still only plays very quietly in the back ground I've tried everything to bring up the volume to no effect

on Amigo have you tried with another voice normally the level is adjusted with the plus or minus button on your smartphone.

Tried record and computer I thought maybe the same. I can still only get the level although it's set in high to be about 5% level

If you are using Amigo on your iPhone, you're in just the right spot.

Sorted thank goodness. I also found Siri was low level nothing else turned up siri voice level and it raised TomTom voice level go figure.

You're mentioning recorded and computer voices so I guess you're using GO Navigation rather than AmiGO. Usually pressing the physical volume-up button on your phone during a voice instruction does the trick.

Bit late to the party I except but what is amigo is it still a TomTom product and en what's the difference from TomTom go?

Amigo is a Tomtom application and it is free. You must be permanently connected to the internet.
GO navigation is paid for, the maps are installed on your phone so no need to be connected to the internet.
