TomTom Model(s)
GO Classic
I just bought me a new TomTom GO classic. I was looking for Darth Vader and Yoda voices but I can't find them anywhere :( Can anyone in here help? My children would love it. Maybe Spongebob too :D

FatherofFour!

I didn't know it was possible to add voices to a Nav4?
It's not (except from TomTom's selections), but now I wonder which "Classic" the OP has? It's another one of those names that TT has 'reused' several times over the years. Based upon the request, I was assuming it was a Nav2. TomTom no longer shows the big list of Nav2 voices on their web site, but as noted, they're available elsewhere now.

What are the first two characters of your device's serial number?
B1, XM, GV, GQ, GX (Nav2) (you can add the voices I pointed to)
or
G3, G4, G5, X5, X6, X7, X8 (Nav4) (you cannot add the voices I pointed to)

All of those models used 'Classic' in the name.

Ah - likely the case, then, that it's a Nav4 device.
Am guessing he may have owned one of the old Nav2 devices at some point or would be less likely to have asked about Yoda and Darth.

I found the voices I wanted and unzipped them. But I can't seem to put them on my new device. So maybe I must settle with that. Is there a way to manage files on the TomTom.

See post #5 above. If your serial number is in the 2nd group, you won't be able to add 3rd party voices to your unit.

Bugger it is X6 - thx for the help anyway!
Yeah, sorry. That's one of the more recent models to use the 'Classic' name.
Not sure why TT dropped the ability to add custom voices a while back, but there you have it. We used to have some real fun with these back in the day.

1) Where do I find the Serial Number, and
2) Does it work on the GO Exclusive?

If it is to add a personalized voice on GO Exclusive the answer is no.

The serial number is located on a barcode label on the outside of your GPS.

No, it doesn't (there's no label at all), but I found it in "About" on the device

Damn. I've gotten so used to C-3PO directing me (on my old, old GO 6100)...

Flip it bottom side up and find yourself a magnifying glass.
