Voice volume 930

I just got a 930 after giving my wife my 920 and the 930 volume even at 100% is not as loud as my 920. Using computer voice "Susan". Any suggestions?
 
Two options:
1) downgrade to app 8.302 (see here) but you lose FM transmission of directions, or
2) turn off "auto adjust to background noise", as this feature is broken in app 8.35x and always adjusts volume too low
